Sky VPN blocked in 2026: why NvoVPN is a better alternative

The situation with VPNs in Russia in 2026 has become extremely complicated. Many users have faced access issues with Sky VPN. The reasons for the blocks are varied, and many are looking for reliable alternatives to bypass restrictions. NvoVPN stands out as one of the best options for bypassing blocks and slowdowns on the network.

Why is Sky VPN not working in Russia?

Sky VPN has become non-functional for Russian users for several reasons. These issues cause significant inconvenience for those trying to access blocked resources.

Reasons for the blocks

The main reason for the blocks lies in the actions of Roskomnadzor, which actively fights against VPN services. Sky VPN was blocked due to its inability to bypass deep packet inspection (DPI) systems that providers use to filter traffic. Additionally, many users report frequent crashes and disconnections, making the use of this service problematic.

Alternatives

Among the alternatives that users consider, NvoVPN stands out due to its reliability and effectiveness. It offers modern protocols that provide stable connections and high speeds, making it an excellent choice for bypassing blocks.

Advantages of NvoVPN for bypassing blocks

NvoVPN offers several key advantages that make it an ideal choice for users looking to bypass blocks. The main ones are its AmneziaWG and VLESS protocols, which ensure a high level of security and privacy.

NvoVPN protocols

The AmneziaWG protocol is an obfuscated version of WireGuard. This means that the traffic looks normal, making it difficult for providers to block. The VLESS/Reality protocol disguised as CDN also helps bypass DPI systems, making it an effective tool for users in Russia.

Comparison with other VPNs

Compared to other VPN services, such as OpenVPN or IKEv2, which are often blocked, NvoVPN shows significantly better results. NvoVPN protocols are not only faster but also more reliable under strict blocking conditions.

How NvoVPN bypasses DPI

NvoVPN uses obfuscation technologies that allow it to hide VPN traffic. This means that providers cannot identify and block it. Automatic switching between protocols also helps maintain a stable connection, which is especially important in networks with strict restrictions.
